ECCA 10 mile TT

The ECCA 10 mile Time Trial had a good showing from Southend Wheelers with five riders taking part. Robin Bevan was the club's fastest with a time of 25:26, followed closely by Steve Shore with 25:29, a fine ride by a veteran rider. Stephen Dalby was unfortunate to puncture. Denise Kemp flew the flag for the ladies with a fine time of 27:54 and last but not least, junior rider Liam Ellis did his first TT witha great time of 30:16. This is a good performance from our promising junior.

Alex Dowsett, Team Sky, (ECCA private member) was fastest in a course record time of 20:04 but was not eligible for an award so the win was awarded to Simon Bateson of East London Velo with a time of 22:43
