On Wednesday 27th April, cold and windy conditions could
not prevent Matt Kane improving his personal best by 1 second from his
time on Monday at the Easter Egg TT, while Roy Godbeer broke his own
Veterans record for 81 year olds, also set on Easter Monday, by 13
seconds. Congratulations to both.
Fastest overall was former Southend Wheeler, 17 year old Dan Snow, who
recorded an excellent time of 23 mins 13 seconds. In
other Time Trial news, Ian Mackenzie entered the Lewes Wanderers 30 mile Open
Time Trial on 24th April on course G30/88 on his trike:

Ian Mackenzie's Time - 1:37:58Ian said that it was slightly windy on a rolling course with plenty of
roundabouts and a stomach upset meant that he didn't perform as well as
he had hoped. Keith Dalton & Arthur Knowler competed in
the Colchester Rovers 50 mile TT incorporating the East Anglian Veteran
Time Trial Association 50 on Easter Sunday. Their times were
Keith Dalton - 2hrs 13mins 24secs for 29th place. Plus 17mins 34 secs
for 19th place on age standard.
Arthur Knowler - 2hrs 29mins 2 secs for 53rd Place. Plus 1min 56 secs
for 38th place on age standard.
Race Winner: Anthony Stapleton Chelmer CC 1hr 54mins 14secs
Vets Winner: Jim Reed Colchester Rovers plus 42mins 13secs
