Go-Ride Racing is an entry level competition programe, supported by Sky, which offers young riders under the age of 16 make a gradual transition into competitive cycling from school clubs or club coaching sessions.

The Go-Ride Racing consists of six disciplines; closed road circuits; grass track; cross country mtb; BMX; cyclo-cross and cycle speedway. Any bike can be used (providing it is in full working order and safe to use in the race environment. Riders each get the opportunity to take part in at least two races per Go-Ride racing event.

Southend Wheelers held two successful Go-Ride Races in July where a number of youngsters took part in entry level off-road MTB events. Currently there are no further Go-Ride Racing events planned for 2011 but keep an eye on this page for 2012 dates, though see the Go-Ride page for details of Go-Ride events.
