Both routes pass through pretty Essex Villages and are rather flat apart from the largest climb in Essex “North Hill”. At the finish line we have free refreshments Hot drinks and cakes, last year we attracted riders from 9 to 85 years of age. The 40km route is ideal for cyclists attempting a sportive for the first time. The 100km route will help those who are trying to keep their winter training schedule on track for the race/sportive season. Jason White was first over the finish line last year and ended up enjoying a great year.

Route instructions/ signage on both routes.

From East Hanningfield, the 100km route follows quiet lanes such as Creephedge Lane and Stow Road to Cold Norton, Althorne and Burnham-on-Crouch before turning north for Asheldham and Tillingham. Back west to Latchingdon, Purleigh (say no more), Cock Clarks, Ulting and Hatfied Peveral. There is the little matter of North Hill before passing Danbury and Bicknacre on the way back to East Hanningfield.
