Our Guest of Honour Sarah King is a pioneering figure in British domestic road racing, celebrated for her transformative impact on women’s cycling. As manager of the London Academy, she has championed inclusivity, empowerment, and holistic rider development, earning her the Outstanding Contribution to Domestic Road Racing award at the British Conti Awards 2024.
A former racer herself, King brings first hand insight into the challenges women face in the sport. Her leadership has reshaped the landscape through initiatives like a groundbreaking mentoring programme and inclusive workshops that equip riders with both racing and life skills. Under her guidance, the London Academy has achieved landmark successes, including hosting the largest-ever 4th Cat Women’s Race and a dominant performance in the British Team Cup.
