Building skills and confidence by delivering fun coaching sessions. The next sessions are on Saturdays 28 March & 04 April.

Join us in 2026 for school holiday youth cycling sessions.  In these sessions our club coaches will help build skills and confidence on the bike. We will be using the newly created MTB & Cyclo Cross course at Garon Park. The recommended age group is 9 -16 years, but younger riders have successfully taken part by pedalling above their height!

Beyond the sessions

What happens afterwards?

After you have attended our cycling sessions, we hope to have excited you enough to see you again for future sessions but for those who want a bit more, you can join the Club (and British Cycling) . Visit our Join the Wheelers page for further details. You will soon buddy up with others your age!

By joining the Wheelers, you will get access to the clubs resources and events throughout the year no matter what your interests on the bike are. The attached "Whats next" pdf document below gives you an idea of what is available.

You can then ride with other youth members and our ride leaders on a weekend club ride on the lanes of the area.

Coaching area enhancements

our Shared vision for growth

We are taking steps to professionalise our space at Garon Park as we continue our journey towards providing a safe and fun mountain bike area for the community.

Look out for notification of our dig days where we try and push on our course development.

Future features includes wooden ramps, steps and log boardwalks.  A space to park your bikes whilst you sit and relax.

We are also seeking further funding and support to help cover the expenses of creating this course.  We are putting together some sponsorship packages so will get these uploaded soon.

Youth MTB race series

Ready, get set, GO!!

We are thrilled to announce a planned 5-event race series for 2026. We are ready to bring a significant number of families and athletes to the park.

Our home at Garon Park will become a premier destination for regional youth cycling.
