Our recent 97th Club Awards Dinner was on January 31st 2026

Our Club Dinner and Awards Presentation was at the Chalkwell Park Rooms. This was the Club's main social event of the year, and a chance for awards winners to receive their trophies and medals, and to reflect on the club's successes in 2025.

The Guest of Honour was Sarah King, the founder of the London Academy women's race team

Sarah is a pioneering figure in British domestic road racing, celebrated for her transformative impact on women’s cycling. As manager of the London Academy, she has championed inclusivity, empowerment, and holistic rider development, earning her the Outstanding Contribution to Domestic Road Racing award at the British Conti Awards 2024.

A former racer herself, King brings first hand insight into the challenges women face in the sport. Her leadership has reshaped the landscape through initiatives like a groundbreaking mentoring programme and inclusive workshops that equip riders with both racing and life skills. Under her guidance, the London Academy has achieved landmark successes, including hosting the largest-ever 4th Cat Women’s Race and a dominant performance in the British Team Cup.

Sarah’s approach is rooted in collaboration, sustainability, and creating pathways for future leaders. Her work continues to inspire a new generation of cyclists and volunteers, proving that meaningful change in sport begins with purpose-driven leadership.
