Places to ride (P2R)

Southend Wheelers coaches delivered some more coaching sessions at Garon Park Sports Centre, for children aged between 10-16 years of age during the Easter school holidays.

Photos from the Easter coaching days will be available for parents and participants to enjoy. Parents will be sent a link via e mail.

These sessions were suitable for children with BMX’s, cyclocross bikes, road bikes or mountain bikes. There was a variety of skills delivered by the coaches, with a progression pathway either to cycling with Southend Wheelers, the Travers MTB series which started in April, or Hadleigh Park MTB activities. There are other superb cycling facilities available in Essex and the South East. Parents can download this "What's next" document to plan a progression pathway. Participants must be competent riders, wear an approved helmet and have a roadworthy bike, with tyres properly inflated.
