"I was 11 when I first became involved with the Wheelers. Sadly, that wasn’t yesterday. I have fond memories of the Monday evenings at Eastwood (Community Centre, Western Approaches) but with being so young and involved in many other sporting events cycling took a back seat. I have always loved bikes and was lucky to have a curly Hetchins which my dear late father gave me back in the day. I still love bikes and always have some project on the go looking for something a bit different. My way back to the Wheelers was a little slow and have only been a member for the past couple of years. I’m very glad to say that I was welcomed with open arms and with warmth. I’ve had a few difficult times which has meant I have been absent on a few occasions.  I’m always moved by the kindness of a text to see how I’m doing. My only regret is that I didn’t renew my membership sooner".
