Hillingdon Circuit, 23/24 July
There were current and ex Wheelers racing across the two days of title races. I was riding the 70-74 race, and sharing the tarmac were the 65-69 group, including Wheeler Roger Crouch. I was 5th in my race and Roger was 6th in his. Pete Anderson, an ex Wheeler now riding for Seacroft Wheelers (Leeds) was 6th in his race. (See pose above for those that remember Pete). The next day Dan Pugh was in action in the 45-49 age group, and was 20th. Paul Hart was a DNS for his championship race. The 2nd pose is with new BC National 70-74 Criterium Champion, Brian Cookson, a good mate and racing mate of mine. He is former UCI President and BC President, and had to take this picture afterwards as I had denied myself a podium pose with Brian! It's his first National stripy jumper!
