End of a Centenary year

The last group hug to celebrate our 100 years, has been completed on Sunday 19th November, where 33 members recreated a group pose on Western Esplanade, with photography expertly provided by Paul Hughes.

The group met at Chalkwell Park/A13 to find the bench provided for bikes to be leant against before the start of the Tuesday and Thursday training bash had been removed, and apparently the land is now in private ownership. So, we only owned it long enough for a group pose, before riding to Western Esplanade.

We recreated a 1924 photo outside the Clifftown Shore development, which two iterations ago, was Calcutt's Restaurant.

We were five members short of the 1924 image. Some members then dashed home for the afternoon's Centenary lunch, the last event in our Centenary Year, although there is still the Xmas 10 to go! Many thanks to all those members who turned out. Wonder what the Wheelers in 2123 will do to follow that!
