Club notices Saturday 4th June - Saturday 7s start. Sunday 5th June - Canewdon will be closed. There will still be group rides with cafe stops Sunday 19th June - Club 10 at Steeple - sign on 8:00. Marshals required for this event please.
Saturday 25th June Southend Festival of Cycling, Belfairs, Leigh on Sea 11:00-18:00.
Sunday 26th June - Club Road Race Day at Colchester 11:00-17:00. Canewdon will be closed. This is a great club day out.
The clubs annual open 50-time trial, the Norman Wells Memorial 50-mile TT will be run on Sunday 3rd July. This year sees a change of course and a new event HQ as we will be running the first ever event on the new E9/50 which has been devised and approved specially for us. The HQ will be the main campus building of Writtle College in Lordship Lane, (across the road and along a bit from the campus with the tea rooms). The course is approximately 2 laps of the existing, but little used E9/25.
This year's event will be a dress rehearsal for the 2023 CTT National 50 Championships which is due to be run by the club in its centenary year.
We need in the region of 20 plus marshals for this event. If you are able to marshal, please let Arthur Knowler know. As it’s a dress rehearsal event, it’s hoped that volunteers will be able to do this years and next year’s event.
