Langford, White, and Pennington dominate the Wednesday Evening League

As the sun sets on the 2024 Wheelers’ Wednesday Evening League, Charles Langford, Paul White, and Jennie Pennington emerge as the stars of the season, topping their respective leagues.

Starting back in April and finishing at the end of August, this year's league put riders to the test across two distinct courses. The flat, open roads of Canewdon provided speed, while the challenging twists and turns of East Hanningfield’s two-lap circuit tested the riders skill-set to climb, descend and corner.

With 259 entries over 19 events (including one non-aero event), competition was fierce. Eleven riders shared the podium across the seven contested categories, making this season one for the books.

As we close the chapter on the evening league, all eyes now shift to the upcoming Saturday 7-mile TT league, which starts this Saturday 7th September. John-Paul Paduarno is the man to beat in both the scratch and non-aero leagues, while Jan Harvey-Burns leads the charge in the Women’s and Veteran’s leagues.
