In March, our oldest member, and longest serving club official, Ron Douce was presented with a special award by the Club.
Chairman Barry Simpson handed the award to Ron at what is a regular lunch for some of the "older" Wheelers, who have time for such an event. Although it is recorded that Ron was the Club Track Secretary in 1953, his committee attendance started in 1948 as the first Junior members rep. Ron was Treasurer from 1959 to 1992, and is the current auditor.
