Making a difference, Southend Wheelers raises £1,654 for MND association

Southend Wheelers are delighted to share the news that the Spring Ride, held in March raised an impressive £1,654.75 for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association. The cheque was formally handed over on Easter Monday during the club’s annual Easter Egg Time Trial.

A representative from the MND Association praised the achievement, saying:

“What you have done matters. It’s made such a difference to families facing Motor Neurone Disease… a huge thank you from the MNDA South Essex Branch.”

The donation will support vital care, research, and advocacy for people living with MND—a progressive and life‑limiting condition that affects movement, speech, and breathing. A Southend Wheelers spokesperson said 'we would like to thank all those riders who attended our Spring Ride helping to raise this money.'
