Southend Wheelers coaches have delivered three days of the British Cycling - Places to Ride programme, at the Garon Park over the recent school holidays.
All participants received expert coaching advice in balance and coordination, gearing, braking, and group riding techniques, to bring these newly learned skills together for an off-road/cyclo-cross race in the final section of the third day.
In August Southend Wheelers were one of 92 clubs across the country who helped deliver the successful British Cycling’s Summer of Cycling programme at the same venue. A full report can be found on the British Cycling website here:
Southend Wheelers would like to express their thanks towards Garon Park for their support in providing a safe environment where youth cycle coaching can take place.
Our next coaching sessions will take place in 2024 and will be published across our social media channels.
