Club records don’t just happen, they take hard work, unwavering dedication to training, and everything falling perfectly into place on the day of the event. Today, that moment of glory belongs to Jennie Pennington, who has just rewritten club history with her phenomenal performance at the Eastern Counties Cycling Association (ECCA) 100-mile TT on the E2 course near Newmarket.
Jennie shattered the Women’s 100-mile TT Record with an impressive time of 4:28:08 surpassing a long-standing club record (4:32:51) set by Pat White (now Silvey) in 1983. This was one of our most enduring club records, making Jennie's achievement even more remarkable!

Reflecting on her success, Jennie said...
"I am over the moon! I really had to work hard keeping the power numbers up going into the wind. Then getting as aero as possible whenever there was a tailwind. I wasn’t aware of how well I was riding. I am really happy to have broken the 4:30 mark and to also step away with an 8-minute course and life PB."
